The legendary 12,000-year-old desert creosote bush produces a beautiful "rain scent," for its leaves are coated in unique, aromatic resins that release the unmistakable, refreshing scent of a fresh desert downpour the moment they come into contact with moisture.

While desert creosote oil can soothe dry, irritated skin when applied as an after-sun oil, you must caution against wearing it in sunlight, unless mixed with zinc and other sun deflecting ingredients - or apply it to an active sunburn with open skin to avoid triggering severe photo-toxic blisters and skin damage.

Dosage: Massage oil in amounts as needed after sun exposure. Most effective massaging into clean, preferably warm, skin right out of the shower or bath after sun exposure.

Rub a little between hands to create heat and friction, then cup over nose and mouth and sit with it for a moment, breathing in deeply, allowing these herbs to penetrate deeply into your skin and senses. 

Optional Enhancement: Spray skin down with hydrosol first, then oil.
